Malaysia's real gross domestic product grew 6.0% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, official national accounts data showed.
Growth was 0.6 percentage points higher than in the previous quarter. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, real GDP changed 1.9%.
Recent comparable releases were first quarter of 2025 at 4.4%, second quarter of 2025 at 4.6%, third quarter of 2025 at 5.3%, fourth quarter of 2025 at 6.2%, first quarter of 2026 at 5.4% and second quarter of 2026 at 6.0%.
